If you’re trying to build a consistent drawing habit, I made a small app that helps with scheduling and daily practice. It’s been really helpful for a lot of artists who want structure without pressure.

Donut man honestly reminds me of the Gibbering Mouther from D&D; a personal favourite creature of mine. It's essentially a big blob of flesh covered in eyes and mouths, and whenever it consumes a creature, another pair is added to the ever-shifting mass. It also constantly speaks discordant gibberish - hence the name - which can completely befuddle any weak-minded being unfortunate enough to be near it, making it an easy kill. Your videos are absolutely brilliant, and have been super helpful in my journey to hopefully become a concept artist in future, so keep up the good work my friend! Someone called you the Bob Ross of creature design in another video's comment section, and honestly truer words have never been written 😂

Fantastic video, Bobby, and one that I sorely needed!

I have noticed a few things while making my own silhouettes. First, if all appear to be the same height, draw a vertical rectangle first and keep the silhouette inside to get better at scaling them. Second, better safe than sorry with feet and ankles; don't make the ankles too thick. Third, references after doing your own work will help you notice mistakes. Fourth, making silhouettes of regular people with no special features compelling and dynamic must be one of the most difficult aspects of making silhouettes. Finally, doing silhouettes translates well into scribbling, as you practise poses and features that are meant to be eye-catching and interesting!

The “Donut man” (he lives in the Donut hole)
Maybe corporate chains really are putting something in our food, and it’s worse than we thought. Be mindful of where you throw your leftovers, the crumbs that evade sharp bird beaks and searching insects end up somewhere far more dark. Bites, spoonfuls, torn chunks of food, they don’t just disappear. The plastic fork you tossed to the curb slides into a breaded gum, a crumpled napkin affixes itself to patches of moldy flesh, and the spit out mouthfuls of picky children smooth into eyes, veins, the joints in a distended jaw. A living amalgamation of all the food we’ve taken for granted, left uneaten, despite it being the means by which we don’t all starve.
It knows this, it understands you can’t survive without it, or at least what it used to be.. so be careful in alleyways, in concrete plots behind restaurants, because those dark tracks on the pavement won’t always be water. Maybe it’s oil, the sheen of our greed reflected back onto us, left behind by something that now, will consume you..

I like "Mr. Donut." It's the kind of name a child would give something like that.
