i'm going to be honest with you, from a british generational military family, i feel that the american soldiers were purposely marching badly in silent protest to the whole parade

Did you notice the music played at the US parade as they passed by Donnie Bonespurs? "Fortunate Son" by CCR...a protest song about how rich men's sons not the ones who go to war. 😅😅😅  Don't tell me someone didn't do that deliberatly.

He skipped the memorial to American soldiers in WWI held in France in 2018 because it was raining, and he didn't want his hair to get wet. He called service personnel 'suckers and losers.' He didn't want to be photographed with disabled veterans because it would 'look bad.' He turned Arlington Cemetery into a photo opportunity. And most recently, he went golfing rather than attend the dignified transfer of the remains of four US soldiers killed on exercise in Lithuania. Why wouldn't the US Forces want to put on a nice polished parade for a five time draft dodger? (I'm Irish, and on the other side of the pond, but even from over here it's obvious what he is).

The British regiment you saw Trooping the Colours were the Coldstream Guards, the British Army's oldest regiment (formed 1650).

Former mechanised infantry here. Armies know how to look snazzy when they want to, a lot of training goes into it. To me that parade screamed "You want a birthday parade? Here have a birthday parade ya arrogant numpty".

My uncle was the youngest horse guard to go before the queen in his time. Rest his soul. Very proud.

Seeing this it feels to me that the US soldiers simply didn't wanted to be there and show there best. And their officers didn't want to push them to their best. In this case it seems the army used the parade to protest against the parade.
