  While volunteering in Ghana I met a bright little kid, very acute at math. Years later I paid for his university education (around 2000€ total) and now he is doing his doctorate in Edinburgh and has helped around 20 other people go to University by teaching them how to apply to scholarships, access funding, etc.<br><br>Easily the most impactful thing I have done in my whole life, and certainly the best invested 2000€.

  Thought you guys would like to know that one of your regular listeners was so moved by William MacAskill&apos;s thoughts on effective altruism that he did some research, found our charity (Building Schools for Africa) and has just sent us the funds to construct a new rural primary school in Cameroon! &nbsp;So - thank you very much for an inspiring Leading interview, from two regular listeners to the show and several hundred children in Cameroon who will no longer have to be educated in grass huts!

  Bernie Sanders has increasingly &nbsp;been centering his arguments around the need to regulate AI. He is one of the very few politicians with a large profile to talk about this with any sense of urgency.

  Re: &nbsp;Rory&apos;s last comment about Will&apos;s apparent good humour about all of these realizations. &nbsp;Outward good humour doesn&apos;t automatically denots inward peace (e.g. Rogin Willliams). &nbsp;I wish all good things for Will, and send many blessings. &nbsp;He is amazing.

  I’ve never seen Rory beaming so adoringly; perhaps it’s seeing values he holds expressed so eloquently, or maybe the glee of hearing them delivered in such a poetic Scottish rhotic voice
