  Honestly $2k for that removal is pretty reasonable. Not cheap, but definitely beats the opportunity cost of doing it yourself

  Owning a remediation company, I&apos;ve taken out a TON of insulation over the years, and I never knew about this machine! &nbsp;It would have saved me so much on labor! &nbsp;Strongly recommend looking into encapsulating your crawlspace next, now that you&apos;ve got it all cleaned out.

  Yah, I think you made the right call. It&apos;s all fun and games until you have airborne E. Hanta in your living space. That kind of remediation is best handled with the right equipment and experience.

  Some jobs are just worth paying for. I used to only pay for under the sink type plumbing. In the past 2 years I paid to have my fence replaced, I had the attic and walls of my house filled with insulation. The money I&apos;m saving in medical copays almost make it a wash.

  1) You seem to have inherited alot of problems from the previous owners ! 2) You are doing a pretty awesome job fixing these problems &nbsp;and sharing your successes &nbsp;and failures with us along the way . &nbsp;I&apos;m sure you&apos;ll run out of things to fix eventually !!!!!

  Great video. I had a quote on my house for the same vacuum &nbsp;cleaning &amp; blown cellulose. A few pointers: cellulose settles over time reducing R Factor (permanent measurement stick helps maintain R-30), inspect air vent baffles condition in the attic, unclugged vented soffits are vital for proper air circulation through the attic &amp; exit), if you have ceiling lights perhaps install a pot over the exposed light fixture body &amp; seal it with caulking to prevent room air leakage (probable good time to inspect all your HVAC air handler &nbsp;insulated flexible ducts). These are just a few points as I can recall from the quote. <br><br>The purpose with our home was more with energy efficiency rather than rodents even though we have had both rats &amp; squirrels. Apparently, rats can climb up down spouts, jump from trees &amp; squeeze through 25 cent sized holes. <br><br>Additionally, I am sure you&apos;ll see energy savings with a more efficient attic, nice bonus &amp; payback!<br><br>P. S. By chance, did you source the location from where the mice entered the attic? It&apos;s one thing to refurbish the attic it&apos;s another to find &amp; plug holes. Maybe the entrence was found while doing the attic.
