Dear employees,

Here are some useful tips from your colleagues:

At 8:41, I claim that the oredictionary filter card uses regex. That's not true, but it's a similar enough idea. This is actually called globbing. - Akronymus_

Voiding items you don't care about is a good way to keep your storage junk-free. Using void cells is a good option. - istree2

The Integrated Ore Factory does not do ore processing in "layers" like I have in this video. Instead, you can choose a specific processing path with the IOF, so another good way to organize your machines would be to make one set for each path, allowing you to upgrade to IOFs easily. - istree2

Roquesite contains indium, and is better processed for that instead of for platinum. - HamCorp

Regards,
HamCorp

I really appreciate this video. Being at IV level and a total newb at GTNH, it is very helpful to see other's ideas on how to do things. I especially love it when someone makes a well organized and intentional video such as this! I hope you make more tutorials of any kind. I get a lot out of your series in general so thanks! :)

Pro tip - Prior to AE2, you can automate your ore routing using Ender IO conduits and Existing item filters. These filters can be taught to accept any item and don't seem to have an upper limit as to how many items can be retained in memory. They are OP in early game.

My dumbass was STILL manually processing my ores in IV and I told myself after using 2 multiblock miners : "Yep, I think its time to get my head out of my ass and automate this lol".

Very great video, I had a setup in mind and Ill definitively use this as my foundation for my setup

I would also add that the layer 0 could also incorporate macerating stuff like Apatite crystals or other stuff like that where their crystal forms is basically useless conpared to their dust form. Its especially good when you use a multiblock miner where this macerator would be otherwise a bit redundant.

I would STRONGLY recommend setting up robust and scalable methods to void things you do not want (using a void cell subnet), or you will end up with millions/billions of random junk you do not care about. OIl sands is a good example, just void the ore unless you plan on using it. also, this setup was just and example to demonstrate the flow, but please save yourself future pain and setup things in a way which you can easily horizontally (more machines) and vertically (more power) scale each step.

Also, one thing this setup does not do, but could easily be transformed to do, is scale into ore factories. Ore factories take in ore (raw/crushed/block etc) and give the same outputs as if the ore was processed in a specific "line" aka macerate -> macerate -> centrfigue or macerate -> chem bath -> macerate -> centrifuge etc.

if you swapped your setup from having different levels each with their own steps, into different lines, each with their own path, future you will be happy to not have to setup all the ore processing filters again.

👍 straight away for simply pronouncing "macerate" correctly.

in 2.9, Debug energy hatches are added to allow you to set the desired voltage without using wireless power (/gregtech global_energy_add ... begone) or power generators. Also added in the upcoming update (at the time of writing), Debug Input Bus/Hatch, Debug Steam Hatch, Debug Data Hatches and Debug Fluid Tanks. Those are only available through commands or NEI's Cheat Mode.

Neutronium-Infused ME Controllers were added in 2.8, along with the Neutronium Anchor.
