  When the elderly lady said that she was 68 years old when she finally decided to live her life as herself, I burst out into tears. A whole life went by like that, it&apos;s absolutely horrific.

  A beautiful episode to watch as a transgender australian myself, I love the older trans woman, her voice is just so classical, intelligent, graceful and comforting on an older woman. As is what she uses it to say.

  I do appreciate the variety of people chosen for this episode! I really like that there was one person who was not on hormones and had no surgeries, and someone who did go on hormones and had a LOT of surgeries. All of those decisions are valid, and gender is something unique to each individual in how we express ourselves and feel comfortable with our bodies. Everyone&apos;s experience is unique and the same thing doesn&apos;t work for everyone!

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRYwAvk4D88&amp;t=704">11:44</a> this section made me feel so sad. The immediate shutout is so true. I&apos;ve tried to explain to people how hard it was being the only woman in a masters mathematics class of men who completely shut me out when I tried to work on assignments together. I did all the assignments on my own, but feeling more and more alone, I ended up getting depressed and dropping out in the end. Met a guy (who didn&apos;t seem particularly bright) earlier this year who said he completed the same masters degree. I was perplexed and asked how he got through some of the more difficult subjects and he said &quot;oh they were easy, we just all worked on the assignments together.&quot;<br><br>Whenever I tried to approach academics about supervision for a project, I felt so extremely judged and asked to prove myself, but when I mentioned those experiences to men who also knew the academics (or who were even <i>students</i> of those academics!) they were shocked and said they had a totally different experience - the academic was open to taking them on as a student, only seeing their potential!

  It&apos;s so nice to see a range of trans people!! We don&apos;t usually get a lot of info about indigenous trans identities in US media, I really appreciate getting to hear their perspective in a way I normally wouldn&apos;t be able to.

  The older lady cracks me up because her answers and reactions are so stereotypical senior citizen. She&apos;s so classy and regal sounding and acting. 🌈 Edit: she&apos;s a commentator favorite... We love her!

  I love the drag question and the answers so much. When I have to wear male clothes I feel like I&quot;m in &quot;boy drag&quot; &nbsp;when I&apos;m in skirts and kitten heals and makeup I feel like myself. Also the lady who said she was 68 gives me so much hope. I&quot;m in my late 40s and frequently think I thought I was too late. Thank you all for this, it really helps all out here figuring our stuff out. Also love the fabulous lady... I am also never going to pass and I love her energy about it. &nbsp;Thank you all for this, you&apos;re helping out a late 40s trans american. I really needed this <b>hugs</b>
