If you enjoyed this video and want to dive even deeper into dark, cosmic science fiction, check out my new novel Tao Solandis. It’s a haunting, end-of-time story about memory, godlike machines, and what survives when the universe runs out of stars.

📖 Get it here: https://linktr.ee/scifiodyssey

Your support genuinely helps keep the channel (and these deep-dive videos) going — thank you

The use of A.I in this video… makes me think of the themes of a certain book…

Just started Rise of Endymion. Excited to finish the Cantos. I’ve really loved these books.

So sad to mark the recent passing of Dan Simmons. A true giant among science fiction authors, and an erudite author of many other factual and fictional publications. He is greatly missed.

The world-building efforts that went into this masterclass of a series leave the reader in awe. I read the four books more than 10 years ago and can I still remember specific locations, planets and characters. What an incredible achievement!

Specifically, this is my favorite book of the four, as it answers all (OK, most..) of the questions that Hyperion raises.

I read the whole Cantos last year, for the first time, and Hyperion and Fall shot straight into my top ten favourite books. Absolute masterpieces.

This is the book that really hooks you into the series. Hyperion is a sci-fi book that tells 7 stories, but The Fall of Hyperion brings them together into a new reality.
And your explain in a very simple and direct way. (I recommended only to the people who just read the book and don't understand all the parts of the book)

The Endymion sequels catch a ton of flack, but I really enjoyed them. I thought the ending was beautiful. It was one of the few times where the ending really stuck its landing in my opinion. The stories had really great moments that made me feel like I was traveling with them.

I finished the book this afternoon and was looking for some clarification of the more weird elements. And what’s this? A brand new essay to help me out! Thanks very much! Great book BTW.
