17:08 - "You can't put cones there." - Dude drove by twice to reprimand you over his loudspeaker when he could've just pulled over someplace and come to speak with you for a minute.

if the city did this they would have had a six man crew two flaggers two workers and two managers standing around doing nothing

As a wheelchair user, I would be absolutely thrilled if someone was widening the usable space on the sidewalks! They may be wide enough for someone on two legs, but they weren't wide enough for someone on wheels until you fixed them! Thank you for doing this kind act of service for this community!

In your first aid kit , get a bottle of white ammonia that will neutralize the protein sting from the ants bites and relieve the pain.

Instead of the cop telling him he can't do that, maybe he should have offered to sit there with his lights on for a moment since he's doing the city a favor

There's good reason people like firefighters far more than cops. Great work out there Derek. Love to see it.

I’m willing to bet that people who use the sidewalk are thankful that you cleaned the sidewalk. Great work.

As a lifelong pedestrian who cant drive due to seizures i appreciate you cleaning up the sidewalks. For most people its just a visual blight but for many of us who depend on them they are as essential as roads are to drivers but are routinely neglected, its like a 3rd world we have to pass through every time we walk to work or the store. It doesnt feel good. A little help goes a long way.

It's insane that a sidewalk, on a busy street like this has been neglected for so long. It was a lot of hard work and a big risk, but you persisted and have now provided a clean and safe path. Members of this community (the elderly, handicap, children) can now safely used this sidewalk. Great job!!
