The Italian commentators in the Roddick clip say: “A shot for the archives, impossible shot… he throws the racket and goes home, because at this point what can I do if not shake your hand, and say- great lord of tennis, to you I pay homage; I think this is the most spectacular shot I’ve ever seen”

His records will fall, and others will look to claim the title of goat. But nobody in history ever made playing this game at the very highest levels look so easy.

Being humiliated by Federer in a Grand Slam is something you write on your resume 😂

Federer is the GOAT because he grew up on surfaces so fast it was basically a different sport, and still managed to be a huge force and world #1 in the baseline era with his classical game well into his late thirties. GOAT.

Federer is the purest expression of tennis. Plays like poetry that's beautiful to hear but no one can replicate

I love how you can tell that Federer is Del Potro's hero based on his reactions. Of course he is competitive and wants to win, but at the same time having your childhood hero do his magic in a match with you must feel special.

Huge tennis fan. Sometimes when I'm watching this clips I'm like which one is Fed? And then I'm like oh right he is the one who looks majestic and beautiful
