And the one murder that didn't happen in that area, took place closer to where Lechmere's mother lived, where he visited because his mother was raising one of his children.

Lechmere only needed to pull Nichols' dress down to cover the wound. Paul reported that he ask Lechmere to help him sit the woman up as he thought she was still alive, but Lechmere flat-out refused to touch her. Moving her would have exposed the massive slit to her throat. The breath that Paul believed he felt would have been the last leaving her lungs. Paul had interrupted Lechmere and luckily for the Ripoer, he had noticed Paul first just seconds before Paul saw him. The street is very narrow age just 2 steps age you're in the middle of it.

Furthermore, Lechmere had a lot of experience cutting up animal bodies for his mother's cat food business. He's also connected to the Thames torso murders.. which took place when Lechmere lived uh that area too.

When he died, he was reasonably well-off. His wife had him buried in a mass paupers' grave while she would eventually be buried at the end of the cemetery as far from him as possible.

Have we figured out who JtR is again? About time. We haven't definitely answered the question in almost a year. About time!

    That’s not a picture of Aaron Kosminski . That’s George Chapman/Seweryn Kłosowski.

The fact, that those murders were never solved, in addition to the first media hype arround a serial killer in history, is what makes this case so interesting, up to this day. It is fascinating, to think that the murderer might have been the first person, the police questioned, but never really considered. The idea of hiding in plain sight is bone chilling. But if we could ever confidently point to a perpatrator, it would be way less thrilling to think about it. What is most interesting about Jack the Ripper is, that he is a canvas for our imagination, which is why there are so many fictional adaptations. If we want to criticise power struktures and inequality, we point to a surgeon, a barrister or even a member of parliament and make a conspiracy out of it. An everyday person is in some way much more unsetteling, but might be just as wrong. But there is another argument for this theory. You can probably count on the fact, that every weirdo in the area was probably questioned and investigated and as you pointed out, the killer had to be someone who at least seemed trustwothy or harmless. Probably someone everybody in the area knew at least from seeing, but it could still be someone else entirely.

Joseph Barnett fits this same category as Lechmere but was conveniently left out of the video entirely. He also has a potentially established motive unlike Lechmere and links harder with why Mary Jane Kelly was the most violently torn apart victim of all and why she was the final one.

Mary Jane Kelly's murder was on the day of the Lord Mayor's Show in the City which was not a public holiday.

My favourite true crime videos are the ones that take a critical look rather than parrot speculation.

Problem is Lechmere never said he heard footsteps walking or running from the scene. He and Paul did NOT see any blood.

I don't know if Lechmere was Jack the Ripper, but he has a mean set of Manson lamps.

There's one obvious omission with the theory presented here. No explanation for the double event especially for a person with a salaried job. Also the Nichols murder is the only one which fits the idea of the Ripper being someone who committed the murders on his way to work at 3:30 am. The other murders were committed much earlier, just before midnight to around 2 am, or later, 5:30 am, the final, Kelly, murder time is uncertain. There are other facts which I feel kick this theory into touch but I'm not writing a book here.

In Star Trek, Redjac is connected to the Jack the Ripper legend in the episode "Wolf in the Fold." The USS Enterprise computer equates "Jack the Ripper" with Redjac.

Makes as much sense as any other theory...
