  I have a theory that reading fiction will develop empathy. Being able to put the feelings and motivations of other into your head is a big step to it.

  Ohh LOVE the specific wording and framing of &quot;What are you enjoying?&quot;. Not only to decentre from jobs, but from doing and action in general. It&apos;s definitely better, but as someone who&apos;s disabled, I&apos;ll often still struggle with a question like &quot;What have you been up to lately?&quot;. But I can be in the trenches, health-wise, and still say that I&apos;m enjoying the clouds I&apos;ve seen lately, the sounds of the local birds, particular media I&apos;ve been connecting with, my soft blanket, etc.
