Real reason: they don’t preach the genuine and biblical gospel that confront the personal and social sin.

The main reason is that those churches are compromising the word of God and are trying to explain away sin instead of holding people accountable for their sins.
That is why the mainstream churches are losing members every week.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say we are to compromise but instead we are NOT to compromise.

We left the Disciples of Christ in 1980 for a non-denominational Bible Church and their plants and other non-denominational churches. Never looked back and we have been growing spiritually ever since. I now understand the Bible and am in love with Jesus!

My Presbyterian husband converted to Greek Orthodox two years ago. It was a bit of a rough patch for us, as I remain Protestant. However, I do attend with him and have more and more respect for the Orthodox Church as time goes by.

Our very modest church went from half full to now bursting at the seams in just a few years. We have so many young folks joining, and many many families coming from Protestant backgrounds. We need new facilities, and fast!

The problem as i see it as a 70 year old man is that the Christian churches are not following the word and allowing all kinds of folks to be ministers who are not living the word. This is problematic in that the faith in the church system leadership at the national level has lost its way and is bowing to political influence to be accepted or liked or what ever and being a Christian leader carries a expectation of walking the path to help not only the ministers but the congregations as well.

I can tell you as a former member of the southern Baptist convention, the reason why me and so many people left is because they had walked away from solid hard-core, biblical values, and that is not what we need in this world today. We need the infilling of the Holy Ghost, the upper room book of ax experience.

I'm 71. I joined the church at 18. Over time it became impossible to administer biblical discipline because churched got sued and had to close to pay the judgement. (They always lost in liberal courts.) People started looking at church attendance as a social experience with financial opportunities. I can remember when church was an opportunity for young girls and women to wear sexy outfits they couldnt wear on a date! The old folks either cant or wont attend an organization that is absolutely sin tolerant.

I was born in 1954, in a town in coastal Andhra Pradesh in India.
There were only two main orthodox Protestant churches namely The Lutheran Church and the Church of South India. We were Lutherans and I loved our Church. Slowly politics entered the Church to manage the funds. Elections and frequent fights started. In orthodox churches, the congregation began controlling the Pastor. During the early part of 1960s, I observed the entry of the Pentecostal Church and the growth was rapid. Soon the established churches started losing the members. The period between 80s and 90s, non denominational churches had come up started by charismatic individuals who mesmerised the people with their oratory and some with healing ministries. By the end of the 20th Century, the Established Church has lost the entire young generation.
My children had come and settled in US now and they attend non denominational church.
The baby boomer generation to which we belong is disappearing into history.
May be we are nearing the end of times.

Very timely report. Exactly what I was pondering today as the topic is very pertinent in my personal experience.

In the Old Testament God hammered his chosen people Israel repeatedly for adopting worship customs of local pagans. Maybe that's happening again in denominations that incorporate woke ideas into their doctrines. I know about the UMC because that's the denomination I was raised in. From what I can tell other mainline denominations have also followed that path with disastrous results.
