I've been telling people to just be patient because they were saving all the good stuff for the official trailer. Also if this show is successful I think there is a good chance we get a prequel for Hal in his prime.

Shout out to the people who saw the vision since day 1. Those who never gave up in darkest nights of zero trailers and plot info, you’re the real Green Lanterns

I'm just really glad to find people talking about this show in such a positive light. And happy to see that there's real hope of a proper adaptation of the rich and diverse lore of the Lantern Corps.

the suits design preferability aside looks like its turning yellow in some of the scenes maybe thats lighting but still with the gold hints the themes of fear the replacement fear we know the possible manipulation of sinestro and the gold on his ring all screams parallax

I always had faith in the show. It sucks about Hal but Chandler makes me forget that he’s old tbh. I believe if they didn’t already have a back up plan to rebirth then they will find a way in the future to keep Hal Jordan around. I wish Kyle Chandler was like 40 he’s perfect with his mannerisms. It’ll suck to see him go if they do rebirth.

As for the show I was never concerned about it. It’s an HBO original with a great creative team around it. Sucks that companies can’t tease anymore without being ripped. But I’m glad eveyone is coming around to it. 30M+ views is nuts for a TV show trailer

Considering weve already seen hal jordan as a 40 year old in the show, it would be so weird to see him the same age but a different actor.

This was definitely the best trailer yet, and it's even gotten me kinda excited for the show.
I was hesitant about the show; however, after thinking about it Ive decided to be open-minded and give the Lanterns show a chance.
I actually had a theory a while back that we could see the Manhunters in this show, as it makes the most sense, and I’m so glad that it seems like we likely will, which certainly makes the mystery of the show more interesting, as this more than likely reaffirms that Paul Ben Victor’s character could very well be playing Atrocitus, but only in a human disguise for some reason. If this is the case, and given the inclusion of the Manhunters, we could dive into his backstory and how he lost his family, race and fellow planets to the Massacre of Sector 666 at the hands of the Manhunters.
It also seems like Laura Linney will be playing a Guardian of the Universe, possibly Sayd, and they seem to be setting up John to have been hand picked at birth by said Guardian to be a Green Lantern sorta like a chosen one trope since I dont believe there has been a Green Lantern hand picked by a Guardaian at borth, even though I dont know how I feel abut that since I feel like if any Green Lantern should be considered "chosen one" it should be Kyle Rayner, but thats just me.
Sinestro also looks good, and I'm sure Ulrich Thomsen will be great in the role, as he knows how to play a good villain, and I hope they plan to keep Sinestro around in the DCU, since he has so much potential to be a top-tier comic book movie villain, especially since I NEED an adaptation of Sinestro Corps War!
Overall I'm actually quite intrigued to see the show. I still have my criticisms of certain creative choices; however, if you're right and this show does end up being a loose adaptation of both Green Lantern: Secret Origins and Rebirth, then this honestly could end up being something unexpected, and if the overall show is good, then I will happily take back my words.

For anyone still doubting the Hal Jordan Paralax theory, in the trailer at 2:31 you can clearly hear that Hal Jordans voice is different when he says "Beware my power." It sounds like his voice got put through an Ultron voice modulator.
Seriously go listen to its very interesting. Also I dont know what Paralax is supposed to sound like but that just sounds to me like what Id imagine an evil Hal Jordan to sound like. It gave me chills when I heard that.
