  Just want to thank you for this tutorial, our brand new water heater kept leaking after several attempts and frustration, putting the joint compound around the thread after plumber’s tape made it a done deal with the leak… thank you so much !!

  I came to this video because I’m having a hot water heater installed as I type this. My landlord is paying for it and we went from gas to electric. The contractor has literally been here all day he came at 10:30am and it’s now 7:27pm. I’m just glad it’s getting done but I didn’t think it would take so long

  Followed your instructions to the tee. Those flex tubes with the shark bite fittings saved the day! Hot water heater ruptured right when we got back from vacation, local plumber quoted us $1500 to change it out and didn’t know when they’d get to it. Bought one at Lowe’s for $400 and took a few hours and saved $1100! Cant thank you enough. Subscribed!!

  This guy knows his stuff. Had to wrap those threads from the big box store brand water heater a lot and tighten at least a full turn which can seem like too much compared to other plumbing fittings but its what works thanks!
