My diagnosis of very possible Plasma cell Amyloidosis was made at age 79. I'm awaiting further down the line tests i.e. Cardiac biopsy soon. It's been 30 years since I was evaluated as having Hypertrophicc, Cadio Myop, with an Aotic senoisis.Bovine Aortic valve replacement in 1998. During the past everal years I experienced symptoms that were written of as age related to my Aortic valve and even told I was 78 at the time so "com on" now you don't need an Angio gram.(in other words I'll die soon so what bother with additional testing other than an Echo. I fired my Cardiologist and reatined a Cardio doc who was curious enough to find the smoking gun and follow it to it's source. Too bad I was not in touch with a GOOD INDEPENDENT Cardio who would start treating me back even 5-10 years ago.

Thanks for putting these online. My mother was just diagnosed with cardiac amyloidosis at 84 so I'm trying to understand what I can.

I have macular amylodosis but i have all the other symptoms like short breath and numbness

After a couple of years of misery I think I have diagnosed myself. Hopefully I can convince my doctor. I have the oily skin, greasy bronze hands and blood shot eyes etc. I know there is no cure, but. I would just like to know what’s killing me.
