I got a lot of the dates wrong in this interview 😂 The Van Halen concert at the Forum was around 1979, definitely not 1988! But after all these years, some of those dates start running together.

What hasn’t faded are the memories.

Doing this interview brought back a part of my life that means more to me than I can put into words. We were just young kids with big dreams, chasing music and believing anything was possible. We had no idea that some of those songs, shows, friendships, and crazy nights would still mean something to people all these years later.

Some of the people who were there with us are no longer here, and that makes these memories even more precious.

The fact that there are still people who remember ODIN, still listen to the music, still share the stories, and still care enough to hear mine truly touches my heart.

Time goes by so damn fast. The stages get quieter, we get older, and people we love come and go—but somehow the music remains.

To every single person who ever bought a record, came to a show, wore an ODIN shirt, shared our music, or simply remembered us… thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You helped make a young kid’s dream come true, and all these years later, you’re still reminding me that it mattered.

I will never take that for granted.

God bless every one of you. ❤️🙏🤘

Randy summarizes so much of 80', 90's LA rocker experience, finding a band member in the Recycler was such a big thing back then. This is real LA and San Gabriel Valley history. How about calling your girlfriend on a payphone or hitting Tower Records, Builders Emporium!, Pop Larsen!!!

My band (HEADWAY) opened for ODIN in 1985 in Burlingame, CA. The marquee is in the liner photos in their white album (I don’t remember the name). ODIN had a little camper for their tour of Northern California, Randy and the club owner, Leon butted heads all day long. I just hung out with Sampson the bass player most of the day. Later on, I saw the movie and realized who ODIN was, and then later on became friends with Russ Parish (Satchel in Steel Panther) and realized I saw and met Jeff at a Thornbirds/Ducks show. I had no idea 15+ years later, it was the same dude in ODIN. So unexpectedly, my musical life has had several encounters with ODIN.

Randy O has such an incredible story! After everything he’s been through, it’s amazing to see the beautiful life he’s built with his wife, kids, and grandkids. You can tell he’s genuinely full of joy and grateful for every blessing. I’m so glad you posted this interview! I’ve been a longtime fan of ODIN, and I absolutely loved Lost Boys! Randy O is the real deal! 🤘🔥❤
