How insanely frustrating. This guy would have been caught twice if not for two people acting against their common sense. The one time cops are on the ball and it's someone else blowing it for them.
"No don't worry I trust the nudist living in my guest house over all of my sons friends"
"I should call the perp and let him know the cops are looking"
Jesus.

Okay, you've won me over. You really are committed to not giving killers the spotlight through naming them and making your videos about, but instead avoiding their name and focusing on the victims' stories. Bravo, Brew. You're keeping a subscriber and a viewer and I look forward to the next one!

It's so painful that in this day and age, having that disclaimer that this was a video made by real people is an actual, genuinely required part of content creation nowadays

Very disappointing that the sister did nothing about Linda's cats after being notified. Also, if someone tried to sell me a bloodstained carpet, I would call the police.

I used to work in a cattery. Whenever there were cats that had been abandoned with us, we always rehomed them. Not one was ever "put down".

So was the burning "foul" material from the guesthouse ever investigated? Was the chimney ever cleaned? Was fatty deposits found amid the soot? There seems a gap that is unanswered here.

being nerdy myself, i liked hearing about john and linda. their personalities, their passions, careers, hobbies... the way they were described as "puppies" on their wedding day :[ so sweet but also really, really sad.

thank you for not naming the killer. im glad knowing that loser is behind bars, hope he never steps out! him being nameless is fitting, let him rot into nothingness.

may john (and linda, i assume) rest peacefully

I wonder if the rug the killer was burning was Linda.

Your "no notoriety" initiative is a really good idea and I think more true crime/documentary channels should do this. Keep up the good work.

I love that this wasn’t a one-off effort to not name a particularly attention seeking murderer, but an ongoing effort to not feed a larger demon. I applaud trying to navigate an already fraught subject as ethically as possible. I see a few creators trying to address this in various ways and it’s heartening.

Seems random, but as a pet parent extremely dedicated to the care of my pets, I hope Linda's cats were taken care of
