❤ The Beatles are the only band inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame where all members were also inducted as solo artists. After they broke up, all four went on to stunning solo careers.

Oh, and at the beginning after they were announced, they were playing around. They were total goof-balls. It was part of their charm.

Jude is John Lennons son Julian, and when Julian's parents were divorcing, Paul McCartney wrote this song for "Jules", as a consolation song, later changing the name to Jude for the song. John Lennon was assassinated, aged 40. The song about the airplane crash, "American Pie", is about a crash that killed 50s rock icons Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, Richie Valenz. <br>Please more Beatles!!!  Can't go wrong with The Beatles 💯🙏 🧡

In their early “Beatlemania” days in 1964, they were basically kids writing pop music love songs—but they left the 50s in the dust and changed music forever.<br><br>By 1965 their songwriting greatly matured, and from 1966 thru their breakup in 1969 they don’t even sound like the same band. Every step of the way, The Beatles cut the edge and everyone else struggled to keep up.

The Beatles are a band that you almost put aside because they wrote so many incredible songs, in such a short span of time, at such a young age that it makes no sense to compare them to anyone else or to any other band. They literally exploded out into the world with their music and their charm, burned white hot for just a handful of years and then were gone. I hadn't listened to them since I was a teenager back in the 70's and a friend gave me a CD with over 100 Beatles songs on it and I put it on in the car one day on a long trip. After about 10 songs, all of which I knew but had forgotten about, I think my jaw dropped and didn't close for the next few hours while hit after hit came out of the speakers. There never has, nor ever will be anyone to match the Beatles.

Yes, they wrote their own songs. John and Paul were two of the greatest songwriters in the history of music, and George was pretty great, too.

One of the defining songs of the era... this is the deepest rabbit hole you'll ever encounter. There are university courses on just the Beatles. Enjoy.
