20 years from now you'll regret the things you didn't do, not the things you did. Time is our most precious resource.

I have had the same experience. 10 years ago I ditched my professional life in Los Angeles, sold my house, cars, and reduced my life to two suitcases, then moved to the Philippines. Best move of my life. I went from working myself into an early grave, to living in a virtual fantasy.

My wife of 10 years is a Filipina. Best decision I ever made in my life. We met a short time after she arrived in US. She is a RN and got her citizenship through her work. We travel to Metro Manila every 2-3 years. We stay with family here in Manila. But we travel all over during our stay here. I have seen things and been places that only people put on their 🪣 list. I am still a young guy. If I died tomorrow I would die a happy man. I never thought in a million years i would expereicne a place like Philippines. It gets harder to leave this place eveytime, as all my family is here in Manila. But i always know I’ll be back one day on another adventure in the Philippines. Life is Pinoy. Live life and enjoy.

I’m half Filipino. The reason I’m so proud of my heritage is mostly because of the friendly attitude of Filipinos. They’re generally super friendly no matter where you find them on the planet. It’s hard to be upset when you’re living in a country where you’re surrounded by smiling people. We could use more smiles in the U.S. these days.

One of the best expat i ever seen doesn't complain about some bad about Philippines. He understands that PH is far from a perfect country but he is happy with the people being friendly. It doesn't need be modern in everything you are not in America or Europe anymore. Just enjoy the nature and peafeful islands. Very positive guy, great attitude and positive mindset. Hope he finds a genuine filipina to care of him with true love.
