Acrylic reef tanks are a nightmare. The tank in stand is arguably the cheapest part of any reef tank. Toss it and get a glass one.

Great content, the tank is comming out great. The only thing you cant calculate into the price if the reefing knowledge tax. Seems like you already paid a lot of that tax in past builds so it is saving you big time on this one!

Paint the bottom of the tank white to help reflect light up toward the bottom of the corals. Over time it'll get covered in coraline anyway, but it'll help for awhile. Do you plan to drill and add an overflow with a sump system? Great topic and look forward to the results!

No … just no… go ahead and resell that tank .. those tanks are garbage !! I have one on my work bench right now that I built a sump out of because it bows to much as a fish tank .. it was code to just busting open .. it will happen I promise ! Oh and the acrylic on a tank that size should be half inch to 3/4 inch .. not that . The tank I have on my bench is exact same tank !!! Same gallons
