I believe the saying goes "Carbon nanotubes can do everything but leave the lab".

I can hardly wait until we are breathing and ingesting long lived carbon nanoparticles.

Graphene: the nuclear fusion of materials. Permanently just "30 years away", only smaller.

DAMN JOE just gonna casually drop the best, clearest simplest explanation of magnetism, electromagnetism, mag levs and electric motors and how they relate to each other in a random video? Crazy work. Every student should be required to watch that 30 second animation.

I'm amazed at the amount of restraint on display here, not a single joke about "megasiemens" the whole time. Hell, didn't even acknowledge it, bravo.

I love the BigStackD shoutout! I can't believe how much of his stuff I watch, and I can't explain why I like it.

7:18 This reminds me of the AMD Athlon processors from around 2000 or 2001 where you could unlock the clock multiplier by just shading in the break in the traces with a #2 pencil. AMD used lasers to cut the traces so that nobody could change the speed of the CPUs. People figured this out real quick like. So you could buy a cheaper lower powered Athlon and just draw on it with a pencil in a specific place and suddenly it performed just like the more expensive, more powerful ones.

11:58 Per gram might not matter, since nanotubes are lighter, you’ll get more length per gram. We need to calculate cost per motor.
