it’s crazy because he was genuinely right about everything he believed in at the time. Just went about it wrong

"Before we even knew the name Ted Kaczynski, we knew we were dealing with a disgruntled genius." Actually, in one of the FBIs more brilliant "profiling" analyses, they stated that he was probably someone with little education. Turned out he was a Harvard grad with a Ph.D. in math from the University of Michigan.

Yikes imagine how awkward that must’ve been cracking a joke about it being a bomb, for it to actually be a bomb 💀

What scares me the most is that what he said in his manifesto makes a lot of sense to me.

If his family didn’t snitch on him he would probably still be out here

FBI: You did not catch him. His bro turned him in. Please don't take the credit.

This documentary completely omitted the fact that Ted Kaczynski was experimented on in the CIAs abhorrent program known as MKUltra, when he was a student at Harvard. They took a young man who was already at risk of becoming an antisocial menace, and psychologically tortured him to the point that it would have been a miracle for him to not commit acts of violence (he of course took this to the extreme, but still). The government created a monster, and somehow still couldn't find him without his brother turning him in. I'm not condoning this man's deplorable acts of violence, but I think it's important to include the whole story as a cautionary tale of the fragility of the human psyche, and the evils of human experimentation.
