  That woman went to the cabin to hide evidence and she was surely involved with these despicable crimes. It’s truly disgusting they gave her immunity and she got away with being an accomplice to these horrific crimes. How do people like her sleep at night?

  That exwife was a POS and deliberately getting in the way of the investigation.  She should be shamed the rest of her life for her part. And should have caught charges. There is no way she didn't have an idea that that cabin and shelter were used for bad things, and she was busy trying to hide it.  SHAME.

  That was one of the best true crime shows I've seen. I liked that they didn't constantly repeat the plot over and over.  They really let the suspense build. So many shows give away the ending early.

  I knew Debra Dubs when she was Debra Nourse (maiden name) working at the "Perfect Recipe" on Burlingame Ave. She was a lovely person...so sorry to read about this....May she rest in peace...😇❣

  Me, my wife and my newborn daughter lived about a mile from where all this took place in 1981 to 1985. We were 2 wild teen kids with a baby. God must have been looking out for us. I don't know if I ever met Leonard lake or Charles,  we were frindly to everyone and talked to strangers and used to hitchhike up-and-down that road.  6 or 7 times a month watching this, I feel very lucky nothing ever happed to me or my family.  The hills of calaveras are very, very wild and dangerous  place At this time, methamphetamines were made all over this area. The police very rarely came up there because they were so understaffed. I just wanted to thank God for watching over us after watching this.

  I find it incredible to have 20 million dollars to be spent during 13 years ofvtrial considering that year after year the innocence project discovers so many cases of failed justice when innocent people spent sometimes 30+ years before being released. Something is very wrong wihh our justice system.

  This case illustrates the importance of responding to & taking seriously "minor crimes" such as retail theft... this pair of monsters would've been free to carry on their sick crimes for who knows HOW long, if the police hadn't detained them at that hardware store.
