We spent an entire day inside India's most expensive ghost town. This is Lavasa, Maharashtra, India's first private hill city. Built with a massive budget of ₹6,000 crore, it was supposed to become home to 4 lakh people. But when we reached there, we couldn't even find 40 people. What we found there was shocking: Abandoned buildings, toote hue hotels, khaali parking. Ye city bas ek sapna reh gaya hai. An empty 5-star hotel, walls par haathon ke nishan the, AC yahan-wahan feke pade the. A convention centre, which was supposed to be India's 3rd largest, was completely empty. While filming, we were stopped and allegedly asked to pay ₹10,000 to continue shooting. The city is abandoned, yet we found people who believed in Lavasa. A woman was opening her brand-new shop, hoping that customers would return someday. Yeh sirf ek abandoned city ki story nahi. Yeh hai greed, politics, aur toote hue promises ki kahani.
