  I found the blurring of the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp footage quite insulting to the memory of those who perished there , this needs showing in its original form so as to be a stark reminder as to the events. The most ridiculous part is that one of the most horrific sequences was left untouched , that of the preserved specimens of tattooed skin removed from victims of probably Buchenwald.

  I have no desire to see dead bodies but blurring them out removes the gravity and horror of war that should be seen by all so people can see the crime of war in all its "glory"😞!

  My father was in the RAF during the war. 50% attrition rate. Never ever talked about it. A generation we will never see the likes of again. RIP.

  Pausing the footage to look at a still scene really brings out the detail of what's happening in those moments. It's beyond fascinating.

  all i can think of when i see those german soldiers are "you blokes were bloody smart and gutsy to over ride your really deep programing to go down with the ship and  to surrender you've chosen to live ". and those soldiers walk fast .they'd cover a lot of miles in a day. what precious important footage this is .a huge thankyou
