An outgoing asexual and a pan person who hates everybody? You mean SpongeBob and Squidward? Yeah, they're still making that show.

If I had a nickel for every tumblr animation scam based on a popular text post I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't much, but it's weird that it happened twice.

I was yelling “Just make a webcomic” at the screen during the first bit. This didn’t need to be a series it would have worked perfectly well as a webcomic

The "outgoing" ace leaning over with their arms limp and a goofy, almost crazed, grin on their face is oh so very tumblr.

“Tumblr indigogo scam” doesn’t narrow it down tbh 😂

The premise of "All or Nothing" probably would have worked better as a web comic.

I feel like Friends was pitched at “straight people are roommates” and it got 9 seasons

The image of a few teenagers asking for a paltry $600 to buy a camera and make a small series is very cute. Them getting 10x their pledge goal and not having a bank account to hold it in is just adorable. I love this story. I think if they had said up front they were amateurs, people might have still donated to help some artsy kids and wouldn't have hounded them for the nothingburger it turned out to be.

Their trusted adult draining that entire $6000 without consulting them and probably never paying them back, leaving them to deal with the backlash? Yeah that's unbelievably messed up.

The idea of a girl recapping old internet history is so fun. Someone should make a sitcom about that.

Seeing all these failed Tumblr projects I'm completely bamboozled as to how the Ratatouille TikTok musical got made

If the story about the loss of funds is true, I wonder which option is worse:
- the person didn't know about the campaign and thought these 6000dollars were the kid's personal earnings/savings and willingly stole from a child
- the person knew about the campaign and willingly stole from a LOT of strangers and left a child to deal with the consequences.
Either way: yikes.
