  Kaum vorstellbar, dass ich selbst noch Erzählungen aus dieser Zeit kenne. Harte Zeiten und noch härtere standen bevor. Einfach Wahnsinn, wie die Welt sich in nur 100 Jahren verändert hat.

  The next generations might not even realize it, they will take video footage of their ancestors in 4k for granted, while we're happy about any footage that gives us even just a tiny glimpse of the ones that lived before us. I find this very valuable

  Ich habe als Kind der 50er noch ein ähnliches Leben Im Dorf miterlebt. Mein Vater war Schmied und hatte seine Schmiede bei meinem Onkel auf dem Bauernhof. Ich war meistens dort und half gerne in der Landwirtschaft. Mein Vater beschlug den Kühen noch die Füße, damit sie den Pflug und die Heu- und Strohwagen ziehen konnten. Mein Vater schmiedete auch die Eisenringe, die um die Holzräder der Wagen gebracht wurden. Mein Onkel hatte als erster Bauer ein Pferd für's Pflügen, Säen und Ernten. Es gab viel zu tun. Aber alles ging ruhig und ohne Stress. Lediglich, wenn trockenes Heu auf der Wiese lag und ein Gewitter zog herauf, wurde es hektisch. Dann mussten wir alle mit auf die Wiese, damit das Heu noch trocken nach Hause kam. Ich bin so dankbar, dass ich diese Zeit noch miterleben durfte. Eine wunderschöne Erinnerung. Hätte ich die Wahl, welche Zeit ich nochmal erleben möchte, dann genau diese Kinderzeit der Mitte 50er bis Mitte 60er. Wunderschön.... Mit 12 Jahren sind wir noch mit unseren Puppenwagen durch's Dorf gefahren. Man stelle sich das heute vor....

  I'm from rural Ireland, and I was brought up similar to this. I'm now 55, I always remember the day myself and my brother was bringing home turf from the bogs by donkey and cart and on our way we met 2 German ladies who were walking the old road towards us, they took an instant photo of   myself and my brother, and gave it to us.  I was seven and my brother was nine. I still have the photo. It's a different word here now in connemara. There was only 2 cars in our area back then. But sometimes I wonder if the world is going backwards, we had everything from our little farm for free and now everything is  so complicated. I lived in the end of the old times and into the new. You would need to live it to understand, I think. God bless you all.

  Mir gefällt  die Abwesenheit  von Geschwindigkeit,  Eile und  Lärm  . Das Zwitschen der Vögel und Glockenschlag  sind richtig wohltuend

  My mother was an Austrian, aged 14 when this was filmed.  I imagine her as a young teenager on the farm near Hainsburg, Austria, within sight of Bratislava.  Itook her ashes back to Austria and buried her with my grandmother.  While there, I found the actual farm where she grew up.  The fields are now developed, but the building compound is owned by a doctor and his wife, who where very gracious to allow me to go about the compound with  my uncle, who also grew up there.  He said that, except for replaced gates and stable doors, it is the same as it was in the 1930's.  The entire compound dates from the Napoleonic Era.

  My father was 7 when this was filmed. He was from southern Germany and it moved me to tears to see how Germany was when he was a child. Thank you for uploading this video very good work. I only hope this is real and not some AI product.
