We bought a winter home at a 55+ place in FL. It came partially furnished. We added a few personal items and I find it exhilarating to live there. Why? Because it has just the items we actually need. Two comfortable chairs on the porch to drink our coffee in the morning. A nice bed, night tables and a dresser for our clothes. A couple of closets, a small dining table, etc. Major lawn work is included. Most home maintenance is included. So yes, less is really more. You do not need all the “stuff” to live a stress-free lifestyle. Our biggest concern now is what to do with our permanent home so we can move there.
