This is an ongoing project for me! I've already given away and thrown away so much! I'm tired of all of the unused and unwanted stuff that I've accumulated over my adult life. Just think of some poor family member or someone else having to go through all of this "STUFF!" Have a heart, GET RID OF IT!

I think as we grow older we want less because we have the time to see there's so much around us we no longer use or no longer need

My Mother inherited a gorgeous old cottage. She was horrified at the clutter. Hired skips and she cleared the whole house and only kept what she loved. Cleaners came in and then the Painter. She created the most spacious home...no visual clutter. Cosy and warm. We love going their on weekends and Xmas. It's so Zen.

This is very helpful. I am 72 and I have been pairing down bit by bit for a couple of years now and it feels great. I do have that angst about letting some things go but it always seems to end up being better in the long run.
