I Bought A Takeuchi TL6 Tracked Skid Steer. Did I Get Ripped Off?

So why did I buy this newer skid steer when I already had my New Holland LX565? After spending a fair amount of time mowing with a front mounted bush hog in a skid steer with an open cab, well let's just say it doesn't take long to start thinking hard about getting one. Dirt, dust, and debris is getting kicked up right in front of you, not like when you are pulling behind with a tractor. And if the cab is enclosed, you have to have AC, which is a huge treat for me. I've never had a machine with AC before, and suddenly mowing in the heat of the summer becomes a treat rather than a dirty, dusty job. I'm hooked. I have to give a HUGE thank you to my patrons who helped make this happen, and also to Bennett Equipment for the great deal! Have an awesome weekend folks!

You said the company who would have serviced this machine would probably have cleaned the machine! I don’t think any company would have cleaned the machine as thoroughly as you did. Excellent job 😊

I have never owned heavy equipment and never will. I will happily watch John work on his machines for hours and learn stuff I will never use. I don't understand why I enjoy it but the it must be the same reason 5 year old's can watch tractor videos on Youtube all day.

I’m just a blue-collar guy that doesn’t own any equipment, and ready to retire. Your videos are pure Guy entertainment I love it! I could watch crap get torn apart all day long lol

One thing, among many others that I like about you, is that you keep your equipment clean. Who would clean and power wash a new toy before using it? Good on you, I like it. 👍

I’ve never seen anybody so thorough. I love watching your videos and your perseverance of following through on everything you do to make sure everything is done right you’ve got a brilliant mind for fixing things. I wish I did. Maybe I could get something done.

after pressure wash, NOW YOU DO NOT NEED A OVERWEIGHT PERMIT TO HAUL IT. GREAT JOB JOHN.

@FarmCraft101, it looks you put the fan back together backwards. Before taking it off the silver washer was on the outside of the belt bell housing. When you put it together, you placed the silver washer on the inside shifting the belt bell housing forward.

Have a look at it because the shifted tracking will wear out your belt prematurely.

I don't believe for a minute that your dealer would have serviced your machine half as thoroughly as you did. Very engaging video, thank you for your effort!
