I know a lot of peeps who live in the neighborhoods near and none of them complain about any of this.

Interesting to hear this. I grew up a mile from Disneyland, which was great for my parents, who worked there for 9 years. (From our first house, I used to walk half a block up the street to go to school at Walt Disney Elementary School). Our parents took us to Disneyland most weekends, when they had a day off. (I once slept 4 hours on the Storybook Ride, when Mom filled in for someone who was sick, and didn't have enough notice to get me a sitter). Mom was a Main Gate Ticket Seller, and Dad was a Jungle Cruise Captain). As a really young kid, I was most impressed that Mom was a good friend of Tinkerbell! (Tink used to fly down from the top of the Matterhorn before each fireworks show). The back of our house was on the Santa Ana River, and we would take folding chairs up to the river road, with our Siamese cat, Tiki (named after the Tiki Room), following us, and we would watch the fireworks show almost every night in summer (back in the 60's, they only shot them off in summer and the holidays). My grandparents lived in Santa Ana, and we could watch the fireworks from there, too, but Grandpa usually drove us to a nearby strip mall parking lot, where the view was less obstructed by trees. It was the BEST childhood, ever!

Traffic is bad EVERYWHERE so if you don’t like it - agin… move away or don’t move here. No one wakes up and says I want to live in Nebraska 😂

I lived near Disneyland on the other side of the I-5 freeway (Midway Dr.) for fifteen years, and the fireworks never bothered me, I always enjoyed listening to and watching them.  The only thing that eventually started to annoy me was the music from the nightly Disneyland Electrical Parade.

My family lived a mile from the Park, just south of Orangewood between West and 9th, and the kids knew when the fireworks went off that it was bedtime! The only times it was a pain was when there was some event going on at 4 AM to get on to the east coast 7 AM news feeds, and you'd hear the PA system, or Miley Cyrus' birthday party, when we could hear the music at our house at midnight. If the weather was just right we could hear the Mark Twain whistle, the Monorail's horn, or the screams from California Screamin' (now Incredicoaster). The biggest pain was not the Park, but the big conventions at the Anaheim Convention Center, like NAMM in January, when we'd have people parking in front of our house and walking the 5 blocks to the convention center.

I lived most of my life near Harbor Blvd. and Ball Rd. and I loved the nightly fireworks. We loved living in Anaheim!

As a kid growing up 8 miles literally down the road on Cerritos Ave in the 80’s & 90’s, I went to Disneyland when I was 8, 12, 14 and 18 years old. It was too expensive, even if tickets were $23.50 in 1988. We waited in the blazing heat for two hours for the grand opening of splash Mountain and star tours. No fast passes because they didn’t exist. Life was hard man.

We lived in the small town of Stanton, about 5 miles west of Anaheim where Disneyland is. We lived there for 19 months before moving back to Arizona where we came from. All of the reasons given for what to expect living there, is pretty close to what it will be. We liked living there. And had we not needed to move due to a brother’s illness, and the mobile home park raising our rent three times in the months we lived there; we would still be there. Anywhere you live there will be drawbacks that cause problems in your area. How you choose to react to them is the most significant factor. No place on this planet is a perfect place to live. To some people all 10 things mentioned above are bad, but to us, it was a way of life.

living by Disneyland is amazing - these complaints sound like they come from a grumpy old man who hates Disney lol - anyone who doesn't like these things never loved disneyland to begin with -also this part of orange county is much cheaper than LA including sales tax and the traffic is not anywhere near as bad
