Thank you for the good information. I recently moved to JAK inhibitors and they are currently making a positive difference. My worry is what happens when or if this one stops working like the other classes of drugs did.

I’m really grateful for your videos Dr. Girnita. I recently started my first rituximab infusion, and didn’t have any side effects. But perhaps it’s still too early cos my ankles and hand joints still swell. I’m learning to thrive with RA, will soon purchase the book. Please continue educating us.

My sister was diagnosed with R.A. when she was 8 or 9 yrs old. At 15 one of her middle fingers crooked up and she was never able to straighten it. She just turned 72 yesterday and now her hands and feet are very deformed and her elbows are 5 times bigger than normal. She's been thru alot. My grandmother had it but not as bad as my sister.

Been in pain for almost 3 years. Finally got the bloodwork back. Im so very sad. I don't have health insurance. It looks lke the dmarks are affordable enough. Im going to hope for the best.

Nice summary. Can you address diseases that are similar to RA, specifically Reactive Arthritis or Reiter's Syndrome? A family member was being treated for CA with BCG, and the BCG inadvertently got into their bloodstream. The resulting inflammatory reaction was very severe, and they have been treated with a standard RA protocol ever since. Sulfasalazine, Medrol, and hydroxychloroquine (and minocycline as an adjunct). Are there newer meds or protocols that might be more appropriate? Thank you again 🙂

I complained to my RA doctors for years about my hands to no avail. I've ended up with a bone collapse 😢

4 years, 9 surgeries, Pacemaker, 3 upcoming procedures and ETC.<br>STILL NO Diagnosis. Plaquenil x3 yrs and LOTS of STEROIDS both oral and injections. My hands, feet and spine are deforming, tumors on soft tissues, organs, etc.<br>3rd Rheumatologist. 16 Specialists, 15+ Appointments, imaging, labs on average per month (in addition to urgent care and Physical, Speech or Occupational Therapies. NO targeted treatments. Itz more than frustrating.
