Takeshi Amitani. What a down to earth person, great fighter and great teacher. Humble, reassuring, observant, humorous, playful. Never saw a sumo with these qualities. And his English was excellent too.

Amitani-san's English is excellent and he did a phenomenal job introducing us to Sumo. I never thought I would see Karate vs Sumo in my life so thank you for doing that.  Sumo wrestlers can close distance so quickly and they can also evade as quickly - it's unbelievable to watch people weighing 150kg moving as fast any karateka you may have seen.  Their speed is uncanny.

Yeah you could totally see that he isn't used to defend kicks or punches, but it was cool he tried regardless.<br>I love your humble attitude Jesse and that you are regularly leaving your karate bubble to try something else.

I think the head striking in Sumo is more serious than we give it credit. Notice the Cauliflower ears. 😱<br>Great video if a little bit short. Watch it with a grin the whole time.
