That chorus hits hard, and makes me think about the song I'm working on -- for practice. Its crap, but I've just started writing, so whaddya expect? Second interesting thing, this song hit number 1 in the USA, but I swear I never heard it on any radio station in Los Angeles I've been listening to. Clearly, I'm missing something here on my radio dial.

Yea... being a huge fan of AFI, in addition to being a verbose person with an extensive vocabulary, that kind of seemed like the direction I naturally gravitated toward. Yet writing song lyrics was a dragging process. Once I let go of "You have to stop trying to be so damn clever" My songwriting started filling up notebooks.
