Funnily enough, the only version of the FA Gundam that wasn't plagued by severely debilitating design flaws.

Thunderbolt is basically someone going like “ok what if we took the OYW but we made everyone more technologically advanced and bulky”

You have to admit. Fleming did pretty well against a pilot who in a sense became one with a mobile suit with skill alone.

I love the first person view of the Zeon suit getting steamrolled by the Gundam. It really highlights why the Zeon consider it the Devil.

I've gotten a realization. If the FA Gundam/Io moved like this in the Thunderbolt Sector, you can only imagine how Amuro moved in the Thunderbolt Timeline.

My favorite detail is that Io broadcasts his smooth jazz over an open channel, and when its close enough to hear it just automatically plays over the recording. However the minovsky interference requires him to be ultra close so you get repeated moments of 'smooth jazz intensifies' in that FPV sequence

4:48 the attention to detail is crazy you can see he’s pushing off of the pole instead of using his thrusters to save fuel

I love Thunderbolt's mobile suit design philosophy. Almost every mobile suit has sub arms because If you think about it, if a mobile suit were to be feasible, they would need sub arms. Doing this like reloading is way harder in a mobile suit alone, sub arms makes it easier and quicker

The plot armor the Psycho Zaku had was on par with the FA Gundam’s armor.
