There’s something really rewarding about seeing a ruined cabin become a solid shelter again. The amount of patience and hands-on work behind a solo restoration like this is impressive, and the final result feels genuinely earned.

Brother,  refurbishing these old shelters to save travelers that get trapped in the snow storms. know you have saved lives of travelers. I commend you. Thank you for your hard work. Even if 1 life is saved, it's worth it. Thank you!!!

Oh, Dmitry! You're a wonderful person! I've been watching your videos for years. When I lived in Siberia, near Lake Baikal, I watched "The Hiking Optimist." Now I live in Serbia and still watch your videos, but on a different channel! This is so important and wonderful!

Watching the ruined stone walls slowly come back to life as a solid, weatherproof cabin felt like history being given a second chance. Every repaired stone seemed to carry both struggle and pride.

There’s something really satisfying about seeing a ruined place slowly become usable again. I especially like the start-to-finish approach here—you can actually appreciate how much work goes into turning those old stones into a proper shelter.

Watching from 🇨🇦 Canada. You have worked hard there updating that cabin. It amazes me that someone built that stone wall up from the river. What a job to do that! Totally enjoy your videos I find them relaxing and inspiring. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Amazing that you found some brand new freshly sawn planks lay on top of all the fallen leaves, how convenient....

This video is so immersive that I actually went and put on a sweater while watching it. You did a fantastic job of conveying the freezing atmosphere. Truly top-tier content for us.
