honestly, The Çırağan Palace Hotel and the Kempinski, the ShangriLa, in the same line on the İstanbul Strait are equally if not more luxurious. An İstanbullian here:))

Don’t go to the pool in your room slippers. Always ask for the spa slippers. They’ll be happy to bring them to your room.<br>And to be fair, you need to let the hotel know in advance when you’d like to check out. The Peninsula check-in time is from 6 am and check-out is up to 10 pm. And the touchscreens in the bathroom are also telephones. Peninsula is well known for this.

Amazing video. <br><br>Personally I prefer the peninsula hotel overall. So many cool things like a printer. But the Kempinski hotel service from the last video was unmatched!

When it comes to welcoming, it is almost impossible to distinguish guests from the crowd as hotel located at the one of the busiest streets in Istanbul. Thousand of other taxis who drop off non hotel guests in front of the hotel. Once they realize you are a guest of the Peninsula, they welcomed you.
