  Apart from some spurious photographs, including modern postwar tanks, and the AI narration, this is a good account and aligns with modern historical research, including photo reconnaissance and unit strength records on both sides.  Far better reporting than the old Soviet propaganda aimed at hiding the truth.

  The Germans threw all their resources in this one huge battle and expected to win, however even though Soviet losses were greater the Germans took losses they could not afford. Their losses could not be replaced whilst the USSR could easily replace their losses. In that sense it was a huge trap for the German Army. The Soviets on the 12th. were satisfied enough for them to open two huge assaults, one North through Orel and the other South through Belgorod. Had Hitler not ordered the total withdrawal on the 13th. all German forces at Kursk would have been surrounded like at Stalingrad.

  This reminds me of the American general who said to Vietnamese General Giap "you never defeated us on the battlefield". Giap replied, 'true but it's irrelevant." The Russians defeated Germany at Kursk and landed in Berlin. This is sour grapes history.

  This is a good documentary, spoiled by much of the imagery which in no way relates to Prokhorovka. If the film makers had some decent editing in place this would have been exceptional.

  When I see that the title image of the video is a mish-mash of a T34 and a KV-1 morphed, then I know that the quality of the content is going to be rubbish. What a joke.

  Due to enigma ultra intercepts , the british knew about the german battle plans, and gave them to the soviets before the battle.- the soviets couldnt lose

  This history doesn&apos;t add, I think, &nbsp;furthermore knowledge or different conclusions about &apos;&apos;Kursk&apos;s Titan&apos;s&apos;&apos; battle. At 1960&apos;s Historician Raymond Cartier { Histoire de Second Guerre Mondiale&quot;} wrote :<br>&apos;&apos;... the Soviets lost hundreds of tanks, but the rushing {sturm} of german attack crushed ...&apos;&apos; &nbsp; &nbsp;The battlefield wasn&apos;t remained in Nazi hands, the Nazis couldn&apos;t repeat their attack at full scale.<br>It seems strange to me, that a very strong operation , of over 1000 german tanks, 33 divisions, 70 Ferdinands, 180 Tigers , 400 Panthers and over than 2000 planes of Luftwaffe stopped, because of Allies attack of some airborne and infantry units and 100.000 British-American soldiers only in Sicily ! 3000 kilometers away ... Manstein tried to persuade Hitler that victory was able to be achieved even the losses, but failed. After 8 days of fierce battle.

  It was a strategic victory for the Soviets, regardless of how may tanks they lost. &nbsp;The assault by the 5th Guards ensured that Operation Citadel failed, and the Germans could not break through. That was its value. It cannot be measured by tank losses. Hitler lost the strategic initiative and would never launch an operation again at that scale. So... it was a strategic Soviet victory.

  It doesn&apos;t matter they badly lose or not..<br>Once hitler give a proof to retreat..<br>It considered as victory..<br><br>This is how propaganda successfully work...<br>Each side using each other to publicy their morals boost..<br><br>Look at German itself, while they failure in Eastern front..<br>Hitler and Chuchill brought a clean name as public hero..<br>While Chuchill use that name to defend their badly losses..<br><br>That person was Rommel.. ironic figure use by two side for same purpose.<br>And the legend keep his name like a wargod..<br><br>So the story of soviet Victory in Prokorovka was a great news beside only few knew the real situations itslef.

  The Germans did far better than what was reported, in fact they crushed the commies and have reserve that could have been used to finish the Soviets but the anglo-american landing in Sicily prevent them to do it in Hitler&apos;s order.
