  Kimi wasn't the dumb one asking about the drink, the team wasn't getting it. He knew he wouldn't have the drink, but he wanted to know if the switch was on and leaking liquid through the car.

  Wrong, refueling is no longer a thing because of safety. Which means, the fuel that you have in the car at the start needs to last for the whole race. And of course teams calculate that very close, because fuel is weight you add to the car. The penalty was for cutting the chicane.

Kimi is asking if the Water is on, the Engineer seems to say it is, so he asks if the button is working. What was actually happening was that the engineer was saying they never connected the thing in the first place. That confusion happens a lot with Ferrari specifically since the team normally only speaks Italian and have rusty at best English.

  The &quot;You will not have the drink&quot; conversation with Kimi is funny, because Kimi wants to know if the drink bottle is emptying into the car. He did understand that he won&apos;t have the drink. But his Ferrari mechanics, like always, have no idea what the driver tells them or asks them.

  Under current regulations, refuelling is not permitted so cars have to be fuelled sufficiently to be able to complete the race. Teams will put in the least amount of fuel they can get away with to save weight but sometimes cut it very fine. Refuelling was permitted in the past and added an extra dimension to the races. Alonso, Raikkonen and Vettel have provided some very entertaining radio communication down the years.

  So much context missing from a lot of these clips that make it difficult to understand the significance. Like when Norris’s car breaks down with him saying “it’s broken” (which is funny in its own way because of how he says it!) he was on course for his highest placed finish (a comfortable 5th)in his rookie year. Some were teammates touching/crashing in to each other which is devastating for a team in a championship battle when their own drivers take each other out. Gasly saying “this is the best day of my life&quot; on winning his first race in a car that wasn’t one of the fastest on the grid. Anyway - great video, keep reacting to more F1 stuff!
