  They solved the offense by the chiefs allowing Hill to leave, Kelce getting old, having no real running threat, and not having the best pass protection. Mystery solved.

  Kelce’s regression is an underrated component here. Still a weapon but no longer uncoverable like he used to be. If a team has a Derwin James or Kyle Hamilton he can be erased quite easily these days.

  If something works in the nfl for 10+ years then it works all the time. When you have an aging/depleted roster and you forget the run game exists then you’re going to have a down year.

  The Chiefs will be fine as long as they start to actually RUN the ball consistently to force defenses to actually respect their running game. &nbsp;Of course, that means they need to become good at it again. &nbsp;The personnel and coaching changes they made in the offseason should help, they also hint at the fact that they may well be planning on running the ball considerably more through planned runs, hopefully from under center considerably more. &nbsp;The problem is defenses have been playing light boxes and essentially BEGGING the Chiefs to run, but they either haven&apos;t, or sucked at it. &nbsp;IF the Chiefs can field an averageish running game and commit to running consistently, they can start putting defenses in a bind again by forcing them to play honest again, which they haven&apos;t had to do at all since 2022 or so.

  Its been frustrating the last 3 years, where the first 2 Chiefs plays of the game from scrimmage, were a 1-2 yard run by Pacheco. Wasted downs. Every. Damn. Game.
