  Create magen is a 7th-level spell, so you&apos;ll need at least a 13th-level character to cast it. At that point in a campaign I&apos;m willing to just smile and nod at something as pedestrian as an infinite army.

  An important note on Portents: You have to choose to use them before a roll is made. So while you can guarantee a few things per day, it&apos;s not reactionary like the lucky feat.

  I not only allow the infinite army, but also encourage it under 1 condition, only 1 of them can fight with the party at any given time. that limits the balancing problems for encouters, but also leaves it available for roleplay.<br>e.g. your party freed a town from an evil lord, but now the town is defenceless and the people are scared that others will take over. now you can order your army to defend the town and build up it&apos;s defences.<br>congrats your party has now a base that they can come back too with steadily upgraded defences.<br>it&apos;s awesome to let the player do this or similar things with the army.

  I feel like Portent, while it can be dickish isn&apos;t really outside the spirit of the game. You&apos;re not taking away the randomness of dice rolls, as you still have to roll the portent dice. Sure, you can decide when to use them, but it&apos;s not as though you simply get to pick two &lt;or later three&gt; results out of thin air and assign them to whatever attack or save you choose. It works well for critical situations if you rolled really high or really low, but a middling roll can still mess you up as you still add modifiers to the roll after you declare you&apos;re using Portent. There&apos;s some controversy on that but I did find a Jeremy Crawford ruling that explains it working that way. So if your roll isn&apos;t really low or really high, better to use it on yourself rather than an enemy.

  We sort of have an agreement on our tables that you can abuse the rules once because it&apos;s funny, but after that tone it down and just use it &quot;non optimal&quot; so we kind of nerf it by players usage of &nbsp;the feature, but they still can do it if the stakes aren&apos;t high. We are here to have fun after all and as long as everybody including the DM is having fun it&apos;s okay

  It constantly amazes me that Silver Tongue gets banned while I rarely see anyone say anything about Reliable Talent which applies to a <b>minimum</b> of four skills and one tool, all of which you get to choose.
