I met Richard Kiel (Jaws) about 15 years ago at a Spy who loved me screening and he was the absolute nicest guy in the world! He brought a bunch of signed Jaws photos and just handed them out to everyone and said how proud he was any time someone comes up and says they love his character. One of the absolute all time greats 👏🏻

Not a jet ski , it was a wet bike. In 1977 jet skis didn't exist and this wet bike was ultra new so it blew people's minds at the time .

The ski scenes look real because they ARE real (except the very obvious back projection with Moore). Choreographed by former German ski athlete Willy Bogner (who for most shots even was the guy in the yellow suit doubling for Moore), who after his sport's career became a successful designer and seller of sport's clothing.

16:33 it was filmed on location in Egypt and Italy. The ski jump/parachute was filmed in Canada on Baffin Island (Mount Asgard).

Ringo, from the Beatles, married the lady spy here.

The Captain of the American submarine wasn't being creepy by offering XXX the use of his quarters, he was being (a) gentlemanly, by providing for her privacy, and (b) avoiding whatever problem might arise from having an attractive woman in a confined space with 150 men. It was understood he wasn't expecting to watch her shower. I guess it was a different time back then, when the average movie-goer would not have have found the captain creepy for being a gentleman and a good leader.
