  I will be praying for you from here in Brazil. I care for my 88-year-old father. My dear mother passed away a month ago at the age of 86; I cared for her with all my love, and today I miss her terribly. You are a wonderful young man. Keep taking good care of your grandfather.

  Awwwww, Grandpa&apos;s spirit is lifting. &nbsp;His gratitude is more vocal/frequent and his hands more strong and steady. &nbsp;He is thankful for your time/caregiving and wants to help relieve some of the burden of cleaning around the house. &nbsp; Your recent conversations have been heard and grandpa understands.

  Masaki.... you&apos;re the first Japanese young man I&apos;ve seen living with &amp; taking care of his elderly grandfather. Like you, I am Asian, too. As Asians, we all --- regardless of region or tribe or nationality --- used to care about our parents &amp; grandparents. Modern life has made everyone, including us Asians, exceptionally selfish. It&apos;s nice to see someone still believing in and practically FAMILY VALUES, as has been instilled in us for thousands of generations.

  Hi Masaki! Your Ojiichan is looking healthier all the time! Nice to hear that he cooked for you too at one time. Just remember that he took you in and cared for you when your parents selfishly left. He did not have to. There is alot to be said for that alone. His generation were not shown affection by their parents so he does not &nbsp;know how to show affection either. I really feel he is a kind, thoughtful person now. I take care of my Mom who is in her 90&apos;s. She took care of me, now I take care of her. She is precious and I am thankful for everyday she is with me.❤

  Masaki, you are so thoughtful in ensuring there are protein and vege in your grandpa’s meals. He certainly thinks your cooking is better than what is sold in the shops. I think it is great that your grandpa is open to getting some help in the cleaning of the house. It would ease your burden and make the environment better for grandpa. 😊
