you could warm some snow to turn to water, and since the dirt there and around the shelter was enough, you could make a mud pool and seal your gaps on your wall. The window wont help to keep the heat inside it if the air changed direction neither the door. This shelter would be a savior in cases of one get caught in a sudden blizzard or snowstorm to get a quick protection.

You need to carry a piece of plastic to seal off some of the holes your Rockwall. We keep your shelter a lot warmer also. Great job

You built such a beautiful and functional cliffside shelter, utilizing the natural rock wall for wind protection was a brilliant move, the fireplace keeps everything super cozy, and you did an awesome job on every detail ✨

With all those gaps between the rocks and the open window and door, It is hard to keep the warm air inside. The heat from the fire and reflected by the walls make the inside warmer than the outside, but if there is wind, not so much. And the consumption of wood must be huge.
