I thought Jacket was a hitman and Beard was his liason. All the "on-the-house" was him receiving renumeration for jobs completed, hidden inside pizza boxes and vhs tapes.

“I was born in the USA” is actually a song by Bruce Springsteen that was very popular during this time period. My dad played this song incessantly.

The entire game teaches you non violence through exposure, it hives you all the stimulation you want fast paced kills. Quick restarts and when the story ends. You realize that in the end Violence solved nothing and leaves you empty. In a way it makes your brain understand in a primal way to quit your vices.
