idk if anyone brought this up yet, but "egg" + "pain" is actually a bit of crude humor, which means "balls" + "hurt" XD

The idea Caine is still talking to the abstracted characters in some kind of way while they're trapped as a borg hive mind is terrifying.

We need that YouTuber that translates Chinese tattoos to double check you. Of course anyone fluent can chime in.

For the final part. I think the chinese characters Caine slides under the door are a callback to Jax "...like I'm just a chicken fetus in an egg that needs to be cracked open. Well I am not". And the answer he gets back is something like "pain serves a purpose" saying that Jax's denial and avoidance of the pain is misguided. He needs to face the pain of his past to heal.

The one Caine slides under is Egg or Ball. The one slid in response is Pain. Egg/Ball Pain. Testicular Torsion

When you mentioned black and yellow in relation to Jax and abstraction, I immediately had to think of his eyes. Yellow sclera, black pupils.
