I loved the fact that the dealers that kidnapped Eric were Jay and Silent Bob. 😂

One of my proudest childhood achievements was beating the Sick/hardest difficulty of THUGs storymode 100%. Looking back I have no idea how I had the patience or skill to have done so but I'm still rather proud of my younger self

2:22 Fun fact, the New Jersey level from THUG is based on the town of Trenton, NJ. The bridge and train station especially look pretty close to their real world equivalents in Trenton.

Neat secret I discovered un umpteen playthroughs of THUG: When you are confronted by Eric over the tape at the end, you get the skate challenge as he waves the tape between the two of you. When you finish the story and fire up a new game, and play through the story again, this scene changes where Eric says "winner takes the tape" and then taps the tape on your chest - to which you respond by punching him in the face and taking the tape in one swift motion, leaving him knocked out on his car. The final skate challenge is skipped and you go right into the lost footage.

Each time you complete the story it alternates between giving you the skate challenge and skipping the challenge. :D

Still just as good today imo. An absolute timeless classic I even prefer to THUG 2, the story is just so well done for what it is.

I love playing this game and I miss playing it on PS2...and I'm still in shock that Eric, the backstabbing, mobflipping cockroach, is voiced by Nigel Uno from K.N.D aka Kids Next Door
