Wow, what a video. <br>Not only is Michael a top, top racer but a very generous man.<br>My wife and I were working with Trevor Nation at the NW200 and TT in 1996? I think. I was doing a rear wheel change in the warm-up area and got all fingers and thumbs thanks to a camera crew filming in my face. Michael stopped his prep and walked over, got down beside me, and just talked to me about forgetting the camera, saying you can do just it and I did. He gave me a big smile, a pat on the shoulder and carried on his prep. I never forget those very kind words. A true gentleman.

I lived near Tony Rutter in Stourbridge in 1986. He was so unaffected by his fame. Just a nice bloke and his son Michael is a chip off the old bloke. Sound Black Country people through and through. Both had great motorcycle careers.

Sometimes I feel like Michael Rutter is overlooked by the press etc but what a top racer he’s been brilliant TT rider and also top short circuit racer one of the truly great riders
