If a partner is not willing to work on learning about and improving themselves and their relationship with you. That is the sign to walk away. You can't build a shared life of depth, intimacy, connection, understanding, and mutual fulfilment with someone who LITERALLY doesn't want to do the work.

I'm not saying abandon them immediately, explore the issue, but if they are steadfast in their refusal/pushing of the whole workload of making the relationship "work" (ie: you fit them without them trying to understand/care for and fit you too) then..

In the words of Elsa - "Let it go.. LET IT GO!"

Attachment theory is so fascinating—it explains a lot about relationships. 🧠✨

If you abandon a partner without exploring the issues with them, you are abandoning yourself.

Quitting without mutual understanding is a sure sign of your avoidant issues. Make no mistake - those issues will leave with you and manifest in your next relationship.

Mutual understanding doesn’t have to mean agreement. Just a willingness to talk about your feelings with the partner you want to leave.

If you feel unable to do that, you are likely a bigger part of
Your so-called relationship problems than you want to realize or admit.

This is such an eye-opening topic!

Some of people don’t want to look at their attachment style. They say is too late for them to change anything. If you try to explain they’ll look at you with sarcasm.

My ex girlfriend is the one that explained to me I have avoidant attachment style and that she was anxious attachment. It was eye opening and hoped we could start working on it together, but then she said she doesn't believe in therapy and she speaks to a higher power. Has the ability to heal people. Basically, went into the craziest episode of middle aged white woman syndrome I've ever seen.

Hey, Maika! 🌷 Thank you for another brilliant video! I really appreciate the examples you give us - on top of the explanations - as it helps me spot instances or patterns in myself.
On the topic of identifying the partner's needs section of the vid: how would one go about it? Would this be observing shifts in mood / voice tone or changes in inflection / a shift in general engagement?
But also, how can we make sure we don't, in fact, confuse it with our own needs AND that this "mental exercise" doesn't take away from us paying attention to our own needs? I assume that depending on the instance one person can be in the forefront, the other in the background and that this may - and will - change with time/other instances, but I don't know if I'm right.
Thank you again for everything and have lovely wknd! ❤🌳🐢
