  After I saw the doodlebud video on the Jinhao 20 I ordered the white/rose gold and the pink/gold from Ali express. I got them and they are really lovely.

  Before I saw this one on doodlebud, I had no idea it even existed.  So naturally I had to buy one. I do love it, and how well it writes.  Now I’m gonna have to go purchase a pink one lol!

  I didn’t have any silicone grease, but I did have a pretty nice hand cream, so I used that and it has made the Jinhao 10 a great writer even if left for more than a couple of weeks!

  One of the reasons I appreciate the Jinhao (and even more, the Majohn A1) is that I love Pilot VP nibs and the functionality of having a retractable pen but the clip location on the VP doesn’t work with my grip. With the Jinhao, I can remove the clip without destroying an expensive pen, while the Majohn comes in a clipless option, and I can use either to house the VP nib units I enjoy writing with so much. I will say that removing the clip from the Jinhao is a bit fiddly and effortful and I also find that the Majohn seals much better so I haven’t had any dry-out problems with it…but the Jinhao comes in much prettier colors!

  In my experience the jinhao needs to be regreased at every fill. Undoubted that’s because I clean the body of the accumulated ink with a qtip, but it wouldn’t do for people to think this is going to be a one and done operation.

  Please forgive me for deleting my post about Jinhao nibs as they have certainly improved their recent iterations. The earlier JInhao nibs I had used were hit or miss but the recent Jinhao 20 nibs are excellent. In fact I am using Jinhao 20 nibs in place of the 18kt gold Pilot capless nib units as I find them to write smoother and wetter for my writing style. <br><br>I would recommend the Jinhao 20 either &lt;M&gt; or &lt;F&gt; for anyone who is curious about the &quot;press&quot; or &quot;capless&quot; /&quot;vanishing point&quot; fountain pens. I am most favorably impressed with Jinhao 20 pens especially in the quality and performance of the Jinhao nib units. The ones I have write incredibly well. I now have 4 Jinhao 20 pens.

  I also bought one after watching Doodlebud&apos;s video about them. It was drying out after hours of not being used - hard to start every morning. I gave it away to someone with more patience to deal with it. It was nice to try, especially since I got it for 3euros but not a pen that I wanted to keep.

  I am glad for the comparison😊 and that you weighed the pens, what a difference. Jinhao 10 is too heavy for me for longer writing and then I know that Pilot VP would be as well. I will definitely cosider trying Jinhao 20. I find it is good to have an option to try the shape on a cheaper pen than VP, specially when I don&apos;t have any penshops in my Country to try pens.
